Coffee Owl

I have another coffee themed card for the Winter Coffee Lovers hop, using one of the freebie digis offered by one of the sponsors. This one is from Jessica Lynn Originals and can be found here.

I printed the image onto some alcohol marker friendly paper and coloured it in with both Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Yosoo alcohol markers. I decided to go for a bold red coffee mug. For the owl I went with a soft brown, and then gave it a deep green jumper with paler green edging. I bought in the red again on the sleeve of the jumper to tie the colours together. After finishing the colouring I fussy cut the image.

I decided to use a paler green card base topped with a two-tone green patterned paper. I then adhered my focal image over the top, and left it simply as that.

I’ve stayed fairly simple with my contributions to the hop thus far, and today’s card is no exception. Just like yesterday’s card it is simply an image that I have coloured, fussy cut, and set atop some patterned paper. The formula works well enough!
