Shimmer Flower

Lately it seems I’ve mostly only been posting when it is for one of my Design Teams. There are the odd exceptions, but generally it does seem to be the case. I think it’s because in my mind the DT work is compulsory, and posting the rest of the time is optional. However, I do have a whole load of cards that I made before Christmas that I really ought to be trying to share here. This card is one of them, and was somewhat inspired by a previous card I made.

I started by using a Sizzix Bigz die called Flower Layers with Heart Petals. I cut some pearlised pink card with the die, then layered the three parts together, curved them up slightly with my hand, and used a pink brad to hold them all together.

I then took some floral washi tape and tore it into three equal length pieces. I stuck them down to my white card base, then adhered the flower to one side.

This really was a very quick and simple card to make. Even so I think it is a pretty design. I’m surprised how well the brad matched the flower, given that they were not designed to do so. A lucky coincidence, that one!

Love,

Lady Joyful
