I have another guest design project for CAS Colours & Sketches to share with you today. I’m sad to say that this is my last project guest designing for them. I had so much fun working alongside this lovely team, and I can’t believe that it’s over already! It seems to have flown by.
I actually had a more complicated design in mind when I started working on this card, but once I got to it I decided I really liked it just as is. I started by stamping the largest image from Uniko’s Marvellous Mehndi stamp set directly onto my card base using Simon Says Stamp Barely Beige ink. I used my MISTI and stamped a couple of times until I was happy with the depth of colour.
This really was a quick and simple card to put together, but I am so pleased with it. The mandala image really speaks for itself with all that beautiful detail. I had considered adding some colour to it in certain segments, or even heat embossing just a portion of it, but in the end I decided to keep it simple and I think that was the right decision.
