10 Cards 1 Kit | Love From Lizi Card Kit August 2018 | Video

If you love shine you will adore the latest Love From Lizi cad kit. It’s full of silver and gold, lots of foil and wonderful shininess. It’s a beautiful kit but I think the heatwave had sapped my crafting mojo a bit because I did struggle a little with the ten cards for this kit.

Card 1 – You’re A Star

I decided to make a clean and simple one layer card for my first card, focusing on featuring one of the stamp sets that came in the kit. I stamped the large starry shape three times on the card front, added a sentiment into the centre of one, then heat embossed the whole lot with the Silver Dollar embossing powder.

I went over the stars with my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen to give a touch of sparkle. Then as a final embellishment I used Liquid Mercury Nuvo drops and applied them in a few places across the card. The Liquid Mercury drops were from a previous kit, but I felt they worked better on this card than the Black Ebony drops that came with this kit.

Challenge:

CAS-ual Fridays – Stamp a Pattern

Card 2 – Christmas Bows

For my second card I used a panel of the wide striped patterned paper, which I cut to be just smaller than my card base, then edged it with some of the Black Diamond glitter peel-offs. After putting together all of the bows I picked three and added them in a column, aiming to keep them fairly centred. I left a gap between the second and third bow, and used the small alphabet stickers to add my sentiment.

Card 3 – Hello Diamond

I used the same background pattern paper again for card number three. This time I used it on a black card base and skipped the peel offs. I then chose two of the tags from the die cut sheet and layered the together to add to the front of my card. The white tag was adhered flush using double-sided tape, and the gold tag was popped up with foam tape.

Card 4 – Love Circles

I used the stencil for my fourth card, using a metallic gold pen from American Crafts to draw around all the sections.. I then added two die cut circles, one of which I’d heat embossed a sentiment onto using the Golden Crown embossing powder, and I popped them up with foam tape.

Card 5 – Starry Shaker

For my fifth card I created a shaker using a portion of one of the journaling cards. I fussy cut around it and then trimmed away the centre. I added a piece of vellum for the window and used Silver Dollar embossing powder to add a sentiment on to it. I used foam tape to attach the shaker to the black card base after adding my Super Shine sequins. I then added three strips of three Black Diamond peel offs to complete the card.

Challenges:

AAA Cards – Friendship

Fabrika Fantasy – Anything Goes

Card 6 – Sparkly Presents

I used a recent Freshly Made Sketches sketch as inspiration for my next card. First I used the present die to cut some presents, the inlaid the stars into them. I swapped the stars so the black presents had silver stars and vice versa. I also gave each present a contrasting bow. I added them to the card base arranged in a grid made of peel offs, with the presents popped up. I used some Happy Birthday ribbon to finish off and add a subtle sentiment.

Challenges:

Seize The Birthday – Anything Birthday

STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge – Anything CAS

Card 7 – Hexagon Note

My next card uses some of the vellum. I fussy cut a panel to cover one side of my card, adhering it with double sided tape. I then finished off the card by popping up a little sentiment panel, trimmed from one of the tags.

Challenge:

Fusion – Sketch

Card 8 – Starry

For card number 8 I started with a panel of starry patterned paper and used a Your Next Stamp Stitched Line Die to add stitched detail to two edges. I adhered it to my card base, then added a sentiment banner and a contrasting strip (trimmed from a tag) which I had edged with peel-offs. I finished up by adding a scattering of little star sequins.

Card 9 – Let’s Celebrate

My ninth card uses the very large stamp that came in the kit and creates a focal element with it. I heat embossed it with the Silver Dollar embossing powder and fussy cut it out. I then added some patterned paper to my card base, adhered some ribbon across it, then popped my focal element up on top to complete my card.

Challenges:

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends – Anything Goes

Love From Lizi Challenge – Shiny

STAMPlorations Theme and Sketch Challenge – Anything Goes

Card 10 – Hello

Finally I used a coordinating piece of patterned paper and vellum. I trimmed them down so that together they would cover my card front and have a continuous design. I then added another trimmed down sentiment element to which I had attached a strip of ribbon and one of the metal charms.

CAS(E) This Sketch – Sketch

……….

Despite initially having some difficulties getting motivated with this card kit I ended up having a lot of fun with it. I love the shiny cards and the colour scheme is so pretty. I have a lot of supplies left from the kit and could probably get twenty or thirty more cards out of it if I had the time! As I write this the kit is still in stock, so if you love it be sure you go and grab it before it sells out!

Love,

Lady Joyful
