I began by creating my arrangement in Word. I used both the racoon and mouse images along with the sentiment from the set, then printed them directly onto my card base to create a one layer card.
I used Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers to colour the images. I started with the racoon, using some different greys to colour him in. I also used some very light grey to add dimension to the racoon’s hat. I used the same light grey to add dimension on my other white elements too.
For the mouse I decided to go with some light creamy brown colours. I then used darker grey for the stool, racoon’s bowl, and the sponge of the cake. I decided on orange for the filling of the cake, and used similar shades to create the golden buttons on the mouse’s outfit. I decided to go with pink icing on top of the cake as well as in the racoon’s bowl. For the strawberry on top of the cake I went with the obvious red with green leaves.
I decided to bring in another pop of colour and used a some turquoise to colour the cake stand and the handle of the whisk.
Love,
Lady Joyful
