Focal Sentiments | Two Quick CAS Cards | Chunky Monkey Crafts

Today I have two really quick and easy cards to share with you. These cards took me less than five minutes to make. That’s five minutes total, not each! I was inspired by a stamp set from Chunky Monkey Crafts, who I am designing for, and I’ll be having a weekly series sharing projects with this stamp set, so I hope you’ll check back to see more of them.

This design really is very straightforward. I started with two white card bases, and positioned my sentiments, from the Chunky Monkey Crafts Narky Finishing Sentiments 2 set, onto the lower right corner of the card. I stamped the sentiments using Altenew Jet Black dye ink, which is a nice crisp black. I actually double-stamped them to make sure they were very crisp as they are the focus of the card and I wanted to make sure they looked exactly right. Using my MISTI made it very easy to double-stamp the sentiments.

After stamping each of the cards I finished off by adding some Nuvo Drops as embellishment I chose to use Ebony Black to keep with the black and white look of the card, but other drops could be used to add a pop of colour to the card.

I’m pleased with these cards and think they’re really fun. They’re so clean and simple – perhaps the most CAS I’ve ever made! – but it’s a really great way to get the sentiments to be the focal point of the design. I’m looking forward to playing with this stamp set more and hope you’ll come back next week for the next installment of the series.
