I was on the Blank Page Muse blog recently sharing a fun card featuring a quick and easy ink swiper background. If you haven’t seen it yet you can find it here.
I used several shades of purple ink (I chose a set from Altenew) for my ink swiping. I swiped horizontal lines, alternating colours, starting first with a line across the bottom and working my way up until the entire background was swiped. I did leave a narrow white border around the edge. I then used Versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp one of the flowers from Big Bold Blossoms Flowers & Sentiments as well as Happy Birthday Phrase sentiment onto the card base. As a final touch I added a few Ebony Black Nuvo Drops.
This is a really fun technique and makes for a great, quick and easy card. Changing up the colour and focal point stamping can make it customisable to any needs. I hope you’ll give it a try!
Love,
Lady Joyful
