Chunky Monkey Crafts | Heartful | Embossing With Dies

Today I’m sharing another card for my snarky series, inspired by a stamp set from Chunky Monkey Crafts, who I am designing for. As with the other cards in this series I kept the design clean and simple. I used the embossing with dies technique to create my background, and added the sentiment popped up as the focal point.

My starting point was the background. I took my heart dies, used some post-it tape to hold them together, then positioned them onto my card base. I then ran the card and dies through my die cutting machine, with the sandwich set for embossing rather than cutting.

Next I stamped my sentiment from Narky Sentiments 2 onto a snippet of black card using embossing ink. I then white heat embossed the sentiment and popped it up onto my card base. It took a little while to decide where to put the sentiment but after consulting with my husband I eventually settled on placing it in the lower right hand corner.

I think this card turned out really nicely. It’s definitely clean and simple but the embossing with dies technique is a lot of fun. I think this card works well for sending to someone who maybe needs cheering up, or just to let them know you are thinking of them.

Don’t forget that Chunky Monkey Crafts is closing down once all the stock is cleared, so if you’ve been enjoying the projects I’ve made with this stamp set and would like one for your own, be sure to grab it soon before they’re all gone! Use the discount code below to save on your order.
