I’m on the Blank Page Muse blog sharing a card that features no line watercoloring. If you haven’t seen it yet you can find it here. There are photos of the process, so I hope you’ll check it out!
I used the Tall Pineapple stamp and started by stamping it with Barely Beige ink, which is very pale and disappears well when the image is coloured. I then worked on painting with some watercolors. I spent quite a long time on the painting until I was happy with it. I then went in with coloured pencils to add more detail. I added splatters of paint to the panel, stamped a sentiment with Evergreen ink, and popped the panel up on the card base. Finally I added Nuvo Drops in Limoncello to complete the card.
I hope this piques your curiosity, and if it did make sure you check out the BPM blog to see step-by-step pictures of the process. I am really happy with how this card ended up, though I struggled with the process early on. There was a stage that I was so unhappy with how the painting looked that I was tempted to give up. I’m glad I persevered though!
