Skull And Cross Buns | Believe In Unicorns Card

Here’s another of the cards I made for the Hochanda show that Skull and Cross Buns was on back at the beginning of September. You can see the first one I shared here.

I started with a four inch square of black card and placed it in my MISTI inside my wreath builder template. I then stamped a wreath using stars from I Believe in Unicorns and Planner Banners, and embossed them with Love From Lizi’s Rainbow Wishes embossing powder. Once I was happy with the wreath I used a circle die to cut it out and set it to one side.

Next I stamped one of the unicorns from the I Believe in Unicorns stamp set onto some Neenah Solar White 80lb card stock with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid ink. I then used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers to colour the unicorn in, before fussy cutting it out.

I adhered my starry circle to a grey card base and added one of the small _ embellishments as my sentiment. I then popped up my fussy cut unicorn on foam tape, positioning it as though it was standing on the sentiment embellishment.

The starry wreath makes such a fun background for this cute unicorn. I always love how the Rainbow Wishes embossing powder looks on dark cardstock and I think it’s perfect for stars.

Love,

Lady Joyful
