It’s time for another Tic Tac Toe challenge! This week Tenia is our featured designer and she created the board below for us to work with. I went for a clean and simple design in a limited colour palette for my project which uses the bottom line of the board – heat embossing, tree and big sentiment.
I started with a white card base onto which I stamped the oak tree which is from Stamperia (sorry – I can’t find a link for it!). This is one of my oldest stamps, and whilst I haven’t used it in a fair while I always love the detail in it when I do use it. On this occasion I decided to heat emboss it with Love From Lizi’s Golden Crown embossing powder. I then intended to add green ink blending but decided against it.
I felt the card needed something else but I couldn’t decide what. I eventually chose to add detail to the sentiment with a glitter gel pen, which also tied the gold in a bit more.
Whilst I think my original idea of adding green ink blending could have been fun, I love the elegance of the black and white with the gold. I think it works really nicely. And I really do love the tree stamp! I ought to make more use of it. I hope my card has inspired you to join in with our challenge! You can find all the details in the challenge post here. There’s also more inspiration there from the rest of the team, or alternatively you can find their projects directly at their blogs via the links below.
