Thanks for Bee-ing There | World Bee Day

I’ve kind of fallen off the face of the Earth lately… It’s been a long time since I last crafted! I’ve unfortunately been dealing with some health issues, but now that I’m starting to feel better I’m hoping to get my crafty mojo back. Today I was inspired to create this cute, clean and simple card using Simon Says Stamp images. Perfect for World Bee Day!

This was a really quick card to make because I already had the bees stamped and coloured from when I created with this stamp set before. It is Simon Says Stamp’s Bee Yourself, and I used some of the accessory stamps to create the background for my card. I stamped the honeycomb pattern piece with  Catherine Pooler Twilight ink. I then used Something Borrowed ink to add the sentiment and a trio of hearts. Finally I used foam tape to pop up the bee couple and complete the design.

Considering it has been so long since I last made anything I’m really pleased with how this came together. As I said, it was nice and quick to make. This was also one of the rare occasions that the idea I had in mind actually came out pretty much how I’d imagined, which is fun. I hope you liked the card, and I’ll try not to leave such a long gap before sharing the next one!

Love,

Lady Joyful

  2. It’s so wonderful to have a card come together exactly as we imaged – rare!! This is gorgeous! I so admire clean and simple designs. I find them difficult. Your loving pair are adorable and the honeycomb background stamp is the perfect addition. Thanks for sharing this with us at The Paper Shelter!
