School is still in session over at MFT. I’m racing to get my last couple of projects in before the school closes. This card is for day four, which is ‘ombre’. (You can see day one here, day two here, and day three here.) I had a few different ideas in mind when trying to decide what to do for the ombre theme, but this is what I ended up with.
I started by creating my ombre panel. First I cut a snippet of white card to 3 3/4″ square. I then chose my snippets of blue to use for my ombre. As I had four snippets I cut them to the same width as my square, and for the height divided that number my four. That made a very awkward number in inches but luckily my trimmer has centimetres as well and it worked out at exactly 2.4cm which was nice and easy to cut. When I had the pieces trimmed down I used Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue to adhere them onto the white square.
Next I worked on the focal elements of my card. I stamped three flowers from the now retired Plentiful Petals stamp set which is an MFT floral set. I used Altenew ink in Ocean Waves for the petals and Dusk for the centres. I then fussy cut them out. I also cut a black snippet of card with one of the MFT Stitched Banner dies.
Before assembling my card I added a sentiment. I used a retired Craftin’ Desert Divas stamp set, but any sentiment could be used. I stamped it on the bottom of my ombre panel with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I used Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue to adhere the banner and middle sized flower onto the ombre panel. For the other two flowers I gave them some dimension with a little foam tape. I then used the Tombow again to adhere the panel to the card base.

This was a pretty simple card, and the most time consuming part was probably fussy cutting the flowers! I like the layout and the monochromatic colours. This could very easily be adapted by changing up the colour and sentiment. I hope you enjoyed it and I’ll be back later with my submission for the fifth and final day of school!
Love,
Lady Joyful
