We’re having a huge celebration over at Cupcake Inspirations because it is our 500th Challenge! In honour of the occasion we chose the theme of Birthday Celebration, so now is a great time to catch up on making birthday cards. Plus we have 13 sponsors offering 16 prizes between them for a total value of over $200! The team (myself included) have been very busy preparing as we’re sharing inspiration daily throughout the challenge in order to feature each of the fabulous sponsors, so we hope you’ll check back for those too. For today’s feature post we’re highlighting Newton’s Nook, who are offering a $25 gift card as a prize.
Trying to keep this short and sweet because my wrist problem makes typing difficult… For the background I used Nuvo Shimmer in Storm Cloud and Sunray Crosette, along with Brusho in Sea Green, Grey, Black and Iridescent Violet, added in layers until I was happy. White acrylic paint splatters for stars.
Stamped the rocket from Cosmic Newton with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid ink, coloured (with my non-dominant hand!) with Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers. Detail added with a Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter Gel Pen and a white gel pen. Fussy cut out by my helpful husband.
I hope this inspires you to come and play along with our challenge. Again, we have a lot of prizes up for grabs if you come and play along. You can find further inspiration from the rest of the team over on the launch post, any of the feature posts (Day 2, Day 3, Day 4 or today’s Day 5), or directly on their blogs via the links below. Plus we’ll be sharing each day throughout the rest of the challenge to further inspire you. I hope you’ll join us!
