If you’ve been following along over on the Stampers Delights’ Inspiration Blog you’ll already know all about the fun of the Halloween Mystery Box. It’s a Halloween themed digital mystery box with 20 image packs, valued at £50 and being sold for just £15! It’s really great value, and includes images from the Anime, Chibi and Kawaii styles. Each day on of the packs is being highlighted, and there’s a Facebook challenge you can enter to win the next Digital Mystery Box which will be a Winter Holidays theme.
Today’s sneak peek from the box is the Witching Hour stamp pack. The cute image is a hat with a smiley face, surrounded by stars. There’s also a version without the face, and it comes with a “welcome to the witching hour” sentiment. I used the sentiment and the version with the face for my card.
I started by arranging the digi stamps in Word and then printing them directly onto my card base. I kept the card very simple (trying not to overstress my still painful wrist/hand), just adding some colouring with my Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers. I went for a purple hat with an orange band, plus bought in yellow for the buckle and stars, pink for the tongue, and a dark grey for the inside of the mouth.
I had a couple of sparkly brads that I thought would go really nicely with the hat image. Rather than having to make a hole in the card base I snipped off the ‘legs’ of the brads and adhered them into place with some foam tape. I tied in the shine from the brads by adding some glitter with a glitter brush pen across the purple and orange areas of my colouring.
This is such a sweet image, and as I mentioned one of many being included in the Mystery Pack. It’s definitely worth a look if you love Halloween projects! Don’t forget to check out the blog to see the sneaks that have been revealed so far, and keep checking back as there will be more sneaks there until all of the packs in the mystery box have been revealed.
