We are almost at the end of the Month of Celebration, and I today I found myself short on time and wanting to create something that would be quick to make but also quick to do as a video. If you’re not sure what the month of celebration is, I’m celebrating both reaching 2000 subscribers on my YouTube channel, and it being my birthday month. All month long I’m going to be creating videos, and the more you comment on the more chances you’ll have to win a prize! Check out the original video to hear all about it, then leave a comment on the video, and head over to the Rafflecopter to confirm your entry. Commenting on today’s video is just one way to get an extra entry towards the prize draw.
I started by positioning STAMPlorations’ Kitty Slimline Stencil over a panel of white card. I them used finger daubers to sponge ink into each of the segments. I alternated colours and used Tutti Frutti, Tiki Torch, Tiara, Lime Rickey, Something Borrowed and Flirty Fuschia.
Once I had all of the segments ink blended I moved the panel away from the stencil. I then spritzed water onto the stencil to activate the ink, before pressing it onto a second panel of card, creating a soft pastel impression for my second card.
After cleaning the stencil I placed it back over my ink blended panel and applied embossing ink over the design so that I could clear heat emboss it. I then rubbed Midnight ink across the panel to turn it black, before using a cloth to wipe the powder off of the embossing letting the colour shine through once more.
Finally I trimmed my panels down and added double sided tape to the back. For the bright ink blending on a black background infused a white card base, and for the more pastel cat on the white background I used a black card base.
I hope you like the cards! I’d love to know which of the two you prefer. Despite both using the same coloured inks and the same stencil I think they turned out looking quite different from one another. Don’t forget to leave a comment over on YouTube, and complete the Rafflecopter for a chance to win my giveaway prize for the Month Of Celebration.
Love,
Charlotte E (Lady Joyful) ![]()
