CIC 506 | Thankful Coffee | Red, Orange, Yellow

We have an autumnal colour palette for our new challenge at Cupcake Inspirations. I decided to use it for a quick and easy card with a coffee-theme for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers hop.

I stamped the Waffle Flower’s Coffee Time stamp set three times with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto white card. I then stamped just the sleeve part onto red, orange and yellow card, and the cap three times onto black. I then fussy cut all the pieces out and used Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue to adhere the pieces together.

I worked out how I wanted to position the cups and adhered the outer two to the cream card base, then used them as a guide for positioning the sentiment. The sentiment I chose is from a Skull and Cross Buns stamp set. I then used some scraps of white card to add dimension to my final coffee cup before popping it up in between the other two coffee cups.

I’m quite pleased with how this quick and easy card turned out. I could have added more to it with some shading, which I normally would, but I’ve been having a few days of not feeling great again so I figured quick would be good! I hope this inspires you to come and play with our challenge. You can also find more inspiration from the rest of the design team on the challenge page or directly on their blogs via the links below.
