When I started doing the Photo-a-Day series back on the first of January, I posted a picture of Lola. It seems only fitting then that we should round out the year with another picture of her.

Sampson apparently found Christmas exhausting! It’s not like he did much, other than walk over our puzzle and try to clean the turkey pan.
Look at all that ice and wilderness. It’s quite a misleading picture. It looks like it is in the middle of nowhere, but it’s really not. When Elvis hopped up onto my chair beside Lola husband said “That won’t end well.” Experience would agree with the statement – normally when any of the cats show an interest in one of the others it ends in one of them leaving in a huff.
I haven’t had much opportunity for photography today, especially given I’ve been feeling quite unwell. So I’m sharing another one of the pictures I took at the animal museum back in the summer.
I find this picture strangely pretty, and soothing. There’s a calmness about it. Of course when I saw the boat I had to take a picture.
