I decided to have another go at watercolouring my snow couple stamp. This time it went much better, although still not quite how I was hoping it to be. I think my biggest problem is lack of patience, or perhaps lack of time which I suppose causes me to be impatient! Advertisements
I find this picture strangely pretty, and soothing. There’s a calmness about it. Of course when I saw the boat I had to take a picture.
The snow has not yet melted, as you can see from this picture. This was taken at the beach near my less-frequent place of work. I thought it was really interesting to see the mostly frozen sea, at least where it’s closer to the sand. Further out it wasn’t frozen.
It snowed in the night. I was beginning to think we’d end up with a snowless Christmas…
More ice! Isn’t it shiny? I don’t mind the ice up on the rocks like that – I think it’s rather pretty. What I do mind is
Look, it’s ice. Icy ice. I’m tired…
Here’s a picture I took a few weeks ago but didn’t end up using. It’s strange, I remember that there was that much snow, but comparing the picture to how the weather is now it’s kind of hard to believe it.
Still waiting for it to snow again. It seems like the weather isn’t sure what to do. We’ve had rain, and then temperature drops that make the ground slick with ice. That’s not fun to walk on, of course.
I don’t have a new picture for today, and I’ve spent most of my evening reading so… Here’s an old picture of a snowball farm.
It makes a change for me to actually have my camera with me when a photo opportunity presents itself! Isn’t this squirrel sweet? And brave to be out in the snow without a scarf and gloves..!
