Look at all that ice and wilderness. It’s quite a misleading picture. It looks like it is in the middle of nowhere, but it’s really not. And the ice in the background looks like a frozen waterfall, but it’s not that either. It’s just melted snow that’s frozen on it’s way over a small cliff … More Photo-A-Day: December 20th
I find this picture strangely pretty, and soothing. There’s a calmness about it. Of course when I saw the boat I had to take a picture.
The snow has not yet melted, as you can see from this picture. This was taken at the beach near my less-frequent place of work. I thought it was really interesting to see the mostly frozen sea, at least where it’s closer to the sand. Further out it wasn’t frozen.
More ice! Isn’t it shiny? I don’t mind the ice up on the rocks like that – I think it’s rather pretty. What I do mind is

The Summery theme comes from Simon Says Stamp Monday. And, whilst the challenge actually went up a little while after I’d finished making this, The … More Cool Lollies
Here’s another picture from the lake I showed you yesterday. As you can see this is how it looks at the shore. It is (or I guess was, as I took the photo some days ago) melting, in its own time.
It’s amazing how much difference a bit of shade makes. I thought the snow and ice had pretty much all melted a good few weeks ago. But then a couple of days ago I took a different route home from work and cycled past this lake, which is still coated in ice! The shores are … More Photo-A-Day: April 28th
