This card was one of the more time-consuming ones I have made because I had to wait for the paint to dry between layers. It makes a change for me to do proper watercolour painting – usually when I watercolour I use watercolour pencils. It was certainly a nice change doing it this way!
I’m back! I do apologise for going AWOL. I wanted to make cards, but I just haven’t had the energy. I barely had the energy for it today, but did manage in the end. This card actually involves a technique that is new to me – smooshing.
When I had the idea for this card I really wasn’t sure how it would turn out. I was a bit sceptical if I’m honest. But now that it’s done I actually think it worked very well!
Sometimes it is really difficult to come up with names for these cards… My reasoning behind the name for this card was the colour scheme for the butterfly. It seemed rather royal to me! In any case, naming aside I had a lot of fun making this card. And I do love the look of … More Royal Butterfly
