Ready for a new Perfectly CAS challenge? This month our theme is Stripes and/or Dots. I went with stripes on my card, in the form of candy canes! My husband was of the opinion that that doesn’t count- what what you think?
Something a bit different today. I’m sharing an easel card. I haven’t made an easel card in ages, but I wanted to play along with the latest Craft Roulette Challenge and this is what I came up with. I’m still ill, and a bit stressed out today, so I’m not going to be doing my … More Cupcake | Easel Card
I have cards planned for pretty much every day this month. Do I have them made yet? No. Do I at least make them with plenty of time to spare on the day I want them to be going live? Also no. I just got finished with making and photographing this one, and it is … More Beach Day | CAS Card
I really enjoy colouring. But sometimes it’s nice to have other ways to use our stamps. For today’s card instead of colouring I did paper piecing! Actually, there was still a little colouring because I added some shading… But for the most part, the colour all comes from using various snippets of patterned paper.
I have an awful cold. Possibly a chest and/or sinus infection. Certainly feels like it. As a result I spent the majority of the day mindlessly scrolling and looking at cards on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. We’re into the second week of our colour challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations. The elegant colour palette we’re playing with is maroon, teal and gold. It’s a beautifully rich combination with a lot of possibilities. For this week’s project I made my own patterned paper panel featuring the colours as the accent on my design.
I’m excited to be joining Alicia of Call Me Crafty Al for her Inspired Saturdays Collaboration this week. The idea of the collaboration is that we each create a project inspired by the other. I was inspired by a back to school card that Alicia made – you can see the video here or find … More Inspired Saturdays Collab | Brushstroke Florals
I’m part of a fun video hop today. It’s “Back to Basics” and all about making projects with minimal supplies and simple techniques. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to finally share this video I made just before I took a break from YouTube for health reasons in the spring. My idea for … More Five Fast Cards | Back To Basics Hop
