CIC 484 | Happily Ever After | Ephemera | Crafty Sentiments Designs

We have a new challenge starting this week over at the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. Our theme is ephemera. For this challenge we are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs. If you’d like to play along with us you will have a chance to win three digis! We’re actually a few days into the challenge, but I’m only now getting around to sharing my card.

I decided to use ephemera from a previous Love From Lizi card kit for my project. (You can see the 10 cards I previously made with the kit here.) I started by picking out the ephemera pieces I wanted to use – a large house image, a banner with a sentiment, and three hearts. I then used a Kat Scrappiness die to cut some of the patterned paper to create my background panel.

I put foam tape all over the back of the die cut patterned paper panel and adhered it to my cream card base. I then used liquid glue to attach my banner to the house, then popped them up on foam on the patterned paper panel. I finished off by adhering the three hearts as if they are coming from the chimney. I considered popping them up on foam, but instead decided to adhere them flat to the patterned paper panel with liquid glue.

Ephemera is really great for putting together quick cards. Many card kits come with ephemera, so if you have old card kits in your stash have a dig through for some, then head over and join in with our challenge! We can’t wait to see what you make.
