This card was one of the more time-consuming ones I have made because I had to wait for the paint to dry between layers. It makes a change for me to do proper watercolour painting – usually when I watercolour I use watercolour pencils. It was certainly a nice change doing it this way!

I decided to have another go at watercolouring my snow couple stamp. This time it went much better, although still not quite how I was hoping it to be. I think my biggest problem is lack of patience, or perhaps lack of time which I suppose causes me to be impatient!
This was supposed to be a quick and easy one layer card. But then of course everything went wrong, I started over and switched to doing paper piecing, and the resulting card took me quite a long time. A couple of hours, in fact. Not how I’d planned on it going!
I find this picture strangely pretty, and soothing. There’s a calmness about it. Of course when I saw the boat I had to take a picture.
The snow has not yet melted, as you can see from this picture. This was taken at the beach near my less-frequent place of work. I thought it was really interesting to see the mostly frozen sea, at least where it’s closer to the sand. Further out it wasn’t frozen.
