DIY Envelopes | Month of Celebration

As the month of celebration continues, today’s video is a slightly different one. Instead of a card I made envelopes. Lots of envelopes! If you’re not sure what the month of celebration is, I’m celebrating both reaching 2000 subscribers on my YouTube channel, and it being my birthday month. All month long I’m going to be creating videos, and the more you comment on the more chances you’ll have to win a prize! Check out the original video to hear all about it, then leave a comment on the video, and head over to the Rafflecopter to confirm your entry. Commenting on today’s video is just one way to get an extra entry towards the prize draw.

In the video I talk about the We R Memory Keeper’s Envelope Punch Board and first make a plain envelope following the instructions given on the board. I then made a patterned paper version following the slightly different instructions from the Envelope Calculator App. Eventually I worked out that the sizes that worked best for me for an A2 (4 1/4″ by 5 1/2″) card was to cut the paper to 8 1/4″ square with the punch line being at 3 11/16″, and then follow the rest of the instructions as normal.

I had a lot of fun going through my patterned papers (that I don’t really use) and turning them into envelopes. I think I will probably end up making a lot more in future. I also anticipate making and decorating some envelopes, though I didn’t do that today as I wanted to keep it simple. Don’t forget to leave a comment over on YouTube, and complete the Rafflecopter for a chance to win my giveaway prize.

Love,

Charlotte E (Lady Joyful)
